What is SmartHub?
SmartHub is our all-in-one NU Account management app, designed to help you stay informed about your bills, usage, and more. SmartHub is a product of NISC, our business management platform, and completely integrates with our system- this ensures that all information found in your SmartHub account is accurate and timely.
How do I sign up for SmartHub?
Signing up for SmartHub is as simple as 1…2…3!
1. Download the app or go to NewportUtilities.SmartHub.Coop/Login
2. Click “Don’t have an account? Register now.“
3. Register your SmartHub account by inputting your NU Account information and Contact Information
*You will need your NU Account Number (located at the top of your utility bill).
What can I do in SmartHub?
With SmartHub, you can:
- Pay Bills
- Monitor Usage
- Report Outages
- Submit & Track Service Requests
- See Bill and Payment History
- View Your Services
- Enroll in Payment Options

What do the menu options mean in SmartHub?
You will find the SmartHub main menu on the left-hand side of your SmartHub account.
SmartHub Main Menu Key:
- Bill & Pay
- Auto Pay Program: Enroll and manage your Autopayments
- Billing History: View your previous bills
- Budget Billing: Enroll and manage your Budget Billing (learn more)
- Make A Payment: View scheduled payments and pay your bill
- Payment Extensions: Extend the due date of your bill (Note: you can only do this once per rolling 12-month period)
- Payment History: View your previously-posted payments
- Usage
- Average Usage: Select the interval freqeuency and your date ranges to calculate your average usage at your service address
- Usage Explorer: View your usage for your selected date(s)/date ranges at your service address. You can also view your meter averages and temperature averages for your selected date(s).
- My Services: View the services your account is currently enrolled in at NU.

- Track Issue Status: monitor the progress of any Service Orders you have submitted

- Security: Update your password, Hint Questions, and Security Phrases to keep your SmartHub account secure
- Stored Payment Accounts: Update your forms of payment on file
